They capture the incredible moment a massive “floating castle” materializes over a Chinese city (Video)

Strange sightings have been occurring in the skies around the world for years, and they are not UFOs. One such sighting occurred in 2015, when residents and the media in the Chinese cities of Foshan and Jiangxi reported a floating city appearing in the clouds. Hundreds of videos quickly went viral on social networks, and not only in China, but also throughout the world.

And just as the amazing images traveled to every corner of our planet, so did all sorts of theories, ranging from dimensional portals and parallel universes to those claiming that NASA was projecting a hologram using the Project Blue Beam report. But the scientists offered another explanation, which was an optical illusion called Fata Morgana, which usually takes place when temperatures cool rapidly. However, there have been more “ghost town” sightings, but nothing like what has happened in eastern China’s Shandong province.

the floating castle

The ghostly image of what looked like a castle hovering over buildings in eastern China’s Shandong province has caused quite a stir among its inhabitants. The video was recorded at around 11 a.m. on September 11 in Jinan, the capital of Shandong province, according to Chinese media. The images were uploaded to the Sina Weibo social network by blogger “Jinan Affairs, Jinan City”, with the following description:

The video shows the disturbing image of an old European-style castle with three towers rising above three buildings. Weibo users were shocked by the sighting. Many compared the majestic building to Hogwarts Castle, the school of witchcraft and wizardry from the Harry Potter film saga. Some also linked the building to the Hebei Academy of Fine Arts, a university in north China that bears some uncanny resemblance to Hogwarts.

Due to the controversy caused, Chinese meteorologists offered a logical and rational explanation. They said it was the Fata Morgana or mirage effect, a form of illusion that is common in humid climates. As reported by the Chinese digital newspaper The Paper. Apparently, the phenomenon normally appears when the humidity in the air becomes warmer than the temperature of the water below.

As rays of sunlight cross from cooler air into warmer air, they are ‘bent’ or refracted, creating a reflection in the air. Patterns in the mirage are typically fuzzy and shimmering with a resemblance to human structures. They are similar to a reflection seen in water. In the opinion of the experts, the “floating Hogwarts” was the reflection of a housing estate located two kilometers away. The community consists of buildings with a similar architectural style.

As we can see, no one agrees on the true origin of the “floating castle”. In addition, there are many who do not believe the scientific version, which always seeks to discredit any inexplicable phenomenon. Not to say that this is not the first time a similar sighting has occurred. Without going any further, last year the inhabitants of the Chinese city of Huai’an witnessed how a gigantic ‘ghost city’ appeared out of nowhere.

The phenomenon in question occurred on August 4, 2019 over Hongze Lake, in Jiangsu province, eastern China. In a video recorded by one of the witnesses, ancient Chinese buildings with curved roofs, trees and a giant wind turbine could be clearly seen as an unusually thick fog descended on the lake.

Parallel universes

Many are convinced that these “ghostly apparitions” are the product of parallel universes interacting with ours. It must be remembered that this same year NASA confirmed the existence of a parallel universe where time runs backwards. Not to mention that there are more and more scientists who are convinced of this theory, such as theoretical physicist Sean Carroll, who is convinced that we live in a parallel universe and has evidence to prove it. Then we could be the other “realities” of our own “selves”. The truth is that nothing is impossible, and the appearances of these “floating buildings” could be the definitive evidence. Who knows, maybe one day we will find our “I” visiting us.

What do you think about China’s floating castle? Evidence of a parallel universe? Or a simple mirage?
