The video of the cows was recorded by YouTube account Broyles Outdoors from the car.
“They’re coming. God, that’s crazy. They can do significant damage to our car,” said one passenger in the car.
According to Broyles Outdoors, his encounter with the cows lasted 10 minutes.
Earlier, officials at Yellowstone National Park warned people to be careful because bison will move more in winter.
“When the snow starts to fall, bison begin to move to lower ground, usually park roads. Everyone remember to drive carefully keeping a distance of 23 meters from bison and 91 meters from bears and wolves,” the officials warned.
In 2020, Yellowstone National Park counted 4,680 bison living here.
They are divided into 2 main groups, one living in the north with 3,400 animals, the other in the central area with 1,250 animals.
Male bison can weigh up to 900 kg while females weigh around 450 kg.
The park also advises visitors not to get close to cows and other wildlife to take pictures.
“Bison are wild animals. They will respond to threats with aggressive behavior such as kicking the ground, snorting, shaking their heads, roaring. To be safe, stay away from them, move move away if they come close and run away or take cover if they rush,” the warning states
