The Boeing 727 Jet Limo stands as an epitome of extraordinary limousine creations worldwide. With its jet aircraft-like aesthetics, this masterpiece defies convention and takes uniqueness to a whole new level. Built on a Mercedes bus chassis, it seamlessly blends the allure of aviation with the comfort and versatility of a luxurious limousine.
The Boeing 727 Jet Limo was born in 2004, built by VACA Limousines from Guadalajara, Mexico – the largest limousine service company in the country. Despite its peculiar appearance, the Boeing 727 Jet Limo is entirely legal to drive on the streets. This special vehicle has its shell taken from a Boeing 727-24C jet aircraft, with the wings and tail removed, and then fitted onto the chassis of a Mercedes-Benz bus.
In the past, VACA Limousines rented out the Boeing 727 Jet Limo for approximately $1,000 for 3 hours, with advertisements boasting a top speed of up to 200 km/h.
With a chassis taken from the Mercedes-Benz bus model, this jet limo has seating for up to 40 people. Inside the cabin, the design of the cockpit is mostly preserved, with the addition of an extra steering wheel. The “jet-powered limo” still retains its original turbo diesel engine, weighing a total of 10,886 kg when fully fueled, and measuring approximately 16 meters long.
After some time since its official launch, specifically in 2007, the Boeing 727 Jet Limo was put up for sale. Blurry photos of the extravagant interior, accompanied by a brief description, revealed some of the features and amenities of this unique vehicle. Specifically, the living room space of the Boeing 727 Jet Limo resembles a dance floor, complete with a large TV screen, heating system, and a bar counter. Additionally, “if you need to rest, just go to the back and you’ll find a heart-shaped bed with an infinity mirror.”
But that’s not all, the Boeing 727 Jet Limo is also equipped with strobe lights, ceiling mirrors, a fog machine, “ergonomic seats,” along with a small bathroom and three air conditioning units. To be precise, the interior design goal of the Boeing 727 Jet Limo is to provide a space for “partying,” a mobile nightclub for 40 people, where you can even sleep inside.
Later on, the Boeing 727 Jet Limo was sold for $275,000 and is currently part of the Limo Bob fleet, also known as “The Legend,” owned by Star Limo service.
The Boeing 727 Jet Limo stands as a testament to the boundless creativity and innovation in the world of luxury transportation. With its jet-inspired design and lavish interior, it offers a truly unique and unforgettable experience for those fortunate enough to ride in it.
