Capturing the Essence of Home Birth: Monet Nicole’s Inspiring Photography Journey
Monet Nicole is a midwife and professional birth photographer. She has attended over 100 births, and her photos are often making the rounds on the internet.
The photographer’s Instagram profile has over 150 thousand followers. There she publishes snapshots of births at home, in the maternity hospital, and in the water. At the same ᴛι̇ɱe, she shares her own experiences and stories of mothers, extolling the ulᴛι̇ɱate miracle, that of birth.
She also writes on her website that she considers childbirth one of the “powerful” and special life experiences that changes every woɱaп who experiences it. The same thing happened to her when she gave birth to her children. The youngest member of the family was born a few months ago, and the photographer shared snaps from her delivery.
In one of Monet’s last posts, another mom story unfolds. The young mother gave birth at home in the presence of her family members, and apparently her best helper was none other than her daughter. He stayed by her side throughout the birth, refused to sleep or rest, and was there when the new member was born.
“The sweetest big sister (or midwife in training) I’ve ever seen. We encouraged her to sleep, but she wanted to be present in every moment. #homebirth #denverbirth #midwifeinthemaking,” Monet wrote in her post.
